Greater Mankato Growth and Radio Mankato are hosting a candidate forum Wednesday evening between the two vying for the Minnesota State House District 19B seat.

Mankato D.F.L. State Representative Jack Considine.

Incumbent DFL Representative Jack Considine and Republican challenger Joe Steck are expected to answer questions that include the divisiveness of politics in recent years, where they stand on the state’s transportation challenges, the shortage of childcare, immigration, and other such issues.

The forum will be moderated by Greater Mankato Growth Vice President Patrick Baker and Radio Mankato News Director Annette Weston. It takes place at Minnesota State University – Mankato in the North Ballroom at the Centennial Student Union from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Previous forums, including the candidates for the U.S. First Congressional District and State House District 19A, were held earlier this month. Video is posted to the GMG website.

In addition, GMG and KTV worked together to record in-studio forums with candidates for Mayor of Mankato, the Mankato City Council, and the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners. They are also available on the organization’s website.
