Highway 93 at Henderson opened Tuesday afternoon after being closed since March 16 due to flooding. Clean up and temporary repairs allow for traffic on Highway 93, but it is restricted to 50 miles per hour, 7 ton axle limit and no travel on the shoulders.
The remaining flooded highway closure in south central Minnesota is Highway 19 east of Henderson. Highway 19 still has flood waters over the road at this time. When MnDOT is able to open Highway 19, they will be able to get back to more permanent repairs on Highway 93.
MnDOT crews are monitoring, especially during rains, the areas along Highway 169 between Mankato and Le Sueur where there were mudslides in April that closed the southbound lanes.
