Mankato’s annual Spring Clean-up will be held Saturdays May 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Works Center, 501 South Victory Drive. Mankato residents may dispose of unwanted items during Spring Clean-up, including electronics (such as televisions and computers). Items not accepted are concrete, asphalt, tires, appliances, recyclable material and hazardous waste.

A drug drop box will be available at the Spring Clean-up site so residents can easily and anonymously dispose of unwanted medications (prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, narcotics and other controlled substances, medication samples, vitamins and supplements, medicated ointments, lotions and inhalers). It’s important to keep medications out of the community’s water cycle (so they should not be flushed down a toilet or placed down a drain).
