A 26-year-old Apple Valley man is charged with manslaughter after authorities say he left his four-year-old son in a parked car in the sun for several hours Saturday afternoon at CHS Field in St. Paul.
Investigators say Kristopher Taylor was working at an event at the field and left the boy in the car with a window cracked maybe a half or quarter of an inch. When Taylor returned to the vehicle after his shift, the boy was unresponsive. Taylor allegedly told authorities that he didn’t think it was that hot and said he had the left the boy in the car on another occasion about a year ago and nothing bad happened to the boy. He also admitted that he had left the window entirely down that time.
