Advocates are calling on state lawmakers to pass Tobacco 21 before the legislative session is set to end one week from today (MON). And Molly Moilanen with Clearway Minnesota has a request:

“We’re really asking all Minnesotans right now who care about this issue to contact their legislators and contact the members of the conference committee to say we cannot wait another year, we want tobacco 21 this session.”

Currently, the Tobacco 21 initiative is included in the House omnibus bill, but not in the Senate version. 32 Minnesota cities and counties have already adopted Tobacco 21 policies–which raise the tobacco sale age to 21.
