The Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities, or CGMC, says it’s glad that Governor Walz and legislative leaders have come to an agreement on a budget deal, but spokesman Bradley Peterson says…

“I think from a greater Minnesota perspective though, there’s still a lot of details that need to be filled in before we can affirmatively say whether or not we’ll be happy with the end product.”

Peterson says, in particular, there needs to be a $30.5 million increase in Local Government Aid in order for this session to be considered a success for Greater Minnesota. That would bring LGA back to levels in place in 2002.
