The heated debate over abortions in Minnesota continues after a coalition of medical providers, health care advocates and others announced a lawsuit Wednesday to overturn several state abortion laws. Executive Director Megan Peterson with Gender Justice says they’re trying to get rid of laws that don’t serve any medical purpose and…

“Really are designed only to delay people getting the care they really need, to stigmatize abortion and to interfere in people’s personal, private health care decisions.”

“We think that’s simply false, we’re talking about informed consent where women are informed of basic things that anyone should be aware of prior to undergoing a surgical procedure.”
