Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar appeared on NBC’s “Meet The Press” yesterday, saying Americans should know what type of person they would be voting for if they cast a presidential vote in her favor:

“I tell them that I look people in the eye and I tell them the truth.”

Klobuchar defended her policy proposals, which some progressives have criticized for being too centrist when compared to her fellow 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. She touted her plans to double federal Pell Grants to help students afford college and defended her plans to make sure that money is going to the people who need it and not “a bunch of rich kids.” Klobuchar also wants to take on the pharmaceutical industry and offer a public healthcare option.
