State House Republican Minority Leader Kurt Daudt wants Democrats to have hearings as soon as possible on the sudden departure of three top officials at the state Human Services Department — and why an investigation of fraud in the Child Care Assistance Program was delayed. But Rochester Democrat Tina Liebling says:

“I just really don’t see the urgency of having a hearing. There’s of course conversations going on. I can talk to the administration, just like Kurt Daudt can, and there’s really no reason to have a hearing.”

Daudt says lack of information from the Walz administration is troubling and the public deserves to know what going on in the largest state agency, the Human Services Department.
