Despite the heavy rain that is saturating farms across the upper-midwest, one expert says the lessons learned from these kind of challenges can be used for future success.

“I don’t think there’s ever a throwaway year, the lessons are going to be different, but you’ve got to factor this whole thing in.”

Crop and seed expert Brian Hefty told a crowd at the “Ag P-H-D Field Day” this week if the wet conditions continue until the end of this year, farmers should expect delays next spring and consider “Plan Bs” for tilling and spraying.
