A Mankato man is accused of waiting outside of a New Ulm apartment for over three hours to attack his former friend with a baseball bat.

According to the criminal complaint, 40-year-old Jesse James Cowing has been charged with felony counts of 1st-degree burglary and 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

The court documents allege that the victim told police that Cowing began swinging a baseball bat at him when he was taking his dog out. He alleges Cowing hit him with the bat during a struggle.
