Jason Aldean has returned to Las Vegas to perform for the first time since the tragic 2017 mass shooting that began during his set at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.
Aldean played three shows over the weekend (Dec. 6-8) in Las Vegas, Nevada at Park MGM Park Theater. To end his set, Aldean played his song “When She Says Baby”, which was the song he was playing when the shooting began in 2017. Before he began playing the song, Aldean said, “Last time we started this song, we got a little interrupted, let’s finish it.”
The 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas Nevada remains the deadliest (non-war) mass shooting in American history. Fifty-nine people died from the senseless attack and hundreds of others were injured.
After the devastating event that took place on October 1 of 2019, Aldean and his wife, Brittany, visited survivors in Las Vegas in the fall of 2017, not long after the tragedy took place. Aldean also performed an all-star fundraiser concert for the shooting victims.
Aldean discussed how the concert would be an emotional and tough one for everyone there, including himself, as many of the concert-goers were present at the 2017 Route 91 Festival when he last performed in Vegas.
The concert was uplifting and powerful as many fans described it. Aldean’s wife posted this picture from the concert to her Instagram.
We’d like to share our condolences with the family and friends of all of the fifty-nine victims from the Las Vegas mass shooting. May they Rest in Peace.
