Greater Mankato Growth announced the organization’s policy priorities for the 2020 Legislative Session. These priorities represent a series of policy issues that are of interest to Greater Mankato Growth’s members and the regional marketplace that our organization will monitor and advocate on behalf of its members.
The policy priorities were derived from a thorough vetting process, including surveying of members, consideration and discussion by the organization’s Public Affairs Steering Committee, and ultimately, approval by the Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. Board of Directors. The policies focus on key issues that will support the continued growth and vitality of the Greater Mankato area such as business climate, economic and community development, education, healthcare and infrastructure.
“Greater Mankato Growth is dedicated to ensuring our community has a voice at the legislature and this year’s policy priorities demonstrate our continued commitment to advocating in support of the interests of our members,” said Patrick Baker, Vice President & Director of Government and Institutional Affairs for Greater Mankato Growth, Inc. “These priorities are more than just policies and bills, they are necessary and creative solutions that will lead to meaningful improvements for job creators, workers, and families throughout our community. We look forward to working with our legislative delegation and legislators throughout the state to communicate and advance these priorities to ensure our region continues to have a diverse economy with vibrant amenities for all.”
