A Waseca County resident has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed the case yesterday. The total number confirmed in the state stands at 25.

Waseca County officials say the person in Waseca County is in their 40s and recently traveled overseas.

A post on Facebook from Waseca County says the Waseca resident is in self-containment and didn’t need to be hospitalized. The symptoms showed up this past Thursday.

State health department investigators will look into any potential contacts the person had.
