Minnesota’s Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Joe Kelly, says his team is feverishly working on a plan to establish alternative COVID-19 sites which will help supplement the state’s hospitals to be able to care for the most critically ill patients:

“Our goal is to identify sites around the state, obtain the equipment and supplies to operate them and then bring in the health care professionals that can take care of the patient. The position who is on that team — simplified the strategy for me by boiling it down to me as — Sites, Stuff, and Staff.”

Kelly says they are working on all three initiatives simultaneously but the first is identifying the site locations.
