The Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) is voicing support for Governor Tim Walz’s “Stay Home MN” Executive Order to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

MMA President Keith Stelter says “Minnesota physicians appreciate the significance and disruption that this decision means for the safety, security, and economic vitality of the state. This order gives Minnesota’s health care system the strongest possible chance to adequately prepare for the predicted impact of this virus.” Stelter says health care services remain an essential service and he’s urging all Minnesotans to pay attention to all aspects of their health during the pandemic.

Stelter is asking Minnesotans with diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, or other acute or chronic conditions *not* to ignore those conditions. And he says Minnesotans should contact their physicians by phone or telehealth if they have concerns.
