Minnesota Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says she’s hearing from long-term care facilities that feel unfairly singled out and stigmatized after the state released a list of those with one or more COVID-19 cases. Malcolm says she wants Minnesotans to know…

“It does not mean that the facility is deficient in any way or has done something wrong, any more than we would say there was something done wrong by a family with a household member that has a case.”

Malcolm is urging Minnesotans to be thoughtful and careful, because those in congregate care facilities are Minnesota’s most vulnerable residents and are feeling the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic.
