With federal coronavirus stimulus checks on their way, scammers are trying to take advantage of unsuspecting victims:

“They’ll cold call you and say we can speed up to getting your stimulus check, or give us your information, we’ll make sure that, we’re the government, they’ll be imposters sometimes, and say we’ll get you your stimulus check the government doesn’t work that way.”

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says if you get any suspicious calls or emails regarding your stimulus check, you should call his office.
