The Minnesota Department of Health is now reporting 79 COVID-19 related deaths in the state. Kris Ehresman is an infectious disease specialist with the department of health.

“98.5 percent of those who have died have had pre-existing or underlying health conditions,” said Ehresman. “The age range of those who have died are 56 to 100 with the median age of 87.”

Ehresman says 57 of the 79 deaths have occurred in congregate care settings.
