State lawmakers last night reached an agreement on a bill that allows restaurants to sell one bottle of wine and 72 ounces of beer, cider or seltzer–a six-pack–with an order of takeaway food. Senator Karin Housley says restaurants have taken a big financial hit during COVID-19…

“We need to help them out somehow, and this one little addition, I don’t know if it’s really going to make a huge difference with how they’ve been devastated lately, but every little bit can help.”

Under the agreement, the alcohol must be sold in its original, unopened packaging.
