State officials say the private-public partnerships that have been created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have put Minnesota in a better position to acquire PPE-or personal protective equipment. Alice Roberts-Davis is the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Administration.

“We’ve had a number of Minnesota businesses to step up,” said Roberts-Davis. “We’ve had a number of small businesses that pivoted from there normal operations. Much of Minnesota’s top talent is helping the state respond to this situation.”

Roberts-Davis says, for example, 3M let the set know of a vendor that was selling counterfeit N95 masks so the state no longer pursued that lead.
