The Blue Earth County Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is available to new and existing participants during the Stay at Home Order. Due to social distancing, WIC has changed the way services are delivered and Blue Earth County WIC is conducting almost all visits via telephone.

WIC is nutrition program that helps families eat well and stay healthy. The program provides support and help with breastfeeding, one-on-one nutrition counseling, nutrition education, healthy foods, and referrals to other health and social services programs. These services are provided to women who have recently had a baby or who are pregnant, and to infants and children until their 5th birthday.

If families have had changes in income due to COVID-19 or if they participate in Medical Assistance, SNAP, or other programs, they may be eligible for WIC.

To reach the Blue Earth County WIC program, call 507-304-4163. Families can find the phone number for other WIC programs by calling 1-800-942-4030.
