About 900 I-C-U beds are in use for COVID and other cases in Minnesota, out of a total of about 12-hundred — and state officials say an additional 800 beds can be ready in 24 hours. Governor Tim Walz says he’s “guardedly optimistic” about the state’s current position:

“Most of our state is still in green. A couple areas are yellow. Once we start getting that flashing yellow, that’s when it’s time to start making those decisions. But as of today, I feel confident that anyone who would need critical care in a hospital would get it.”

About 554 ventilators are currently in use in Minnesota, out of the state’s current capacity of about 14-hundred.
