The Minnesota Department of Education says a final recommendation on how school districts should prepare for classes in the fall will come next month.
“We will make our recommendation no later than the week of July 27th,” said Heather Mueller with MDE. Mueller says they’ve asked districts to prepare for three scenarios for the fall.
“In-person learning for all students, hybrid learning with social distancing and distance learning,” said Mueller. “And there remains the possibility, depending on what the virus does, that districts will need to prepare for multiple scenarios.”
Mueller suggested there would be flexibility regarding the recommendation, meaning different districts could go with different strategies depending on their local situation.
