The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touch downed just west of North Mankato Saturday afternoon. The report says the EF-0 tornado had estimated peak winds of 80 MPH. It happened between 3 miles east-northeast of Judson to 3 miles west of North Mankato. The path of the tornado was 2.45 miles. The storm report says hundreds of trees were damaged or uprooted, several acres of corn damaged and parts of a roof to a machine shed was also damaged.
