Country star Brad Paisley has taken up a new hobby ever since the novel Coronavirus hit. The newfound hobby of the superstar is calling fans via Zoom to brighten their day and bring them some joy during these difficult times. The most recent recipient of a call was a woman named Amanda. The call was prompted by her husband Austin, a solider currently deployed in Qatar. The two were nearing their 7th anniversary apart when Austin reached out to the “Whiskey Lullaby” singer and asked him if he could help the two celebrate their big day. Austin and the star had actually met in Afghanistan 6 years prior and the photo of them together caught the eye of Paisley. He happily agreed and provided the the couple with a moment they will never forget.
Austin had clearly done a good job keeping the surprise a secret as Amanda was caught off guard outside with family members by the pool. It is revealed during the call that Amanda is such a big fan of the singer that her dog was actually named Paisley! While speaking to the couple, Brad also makes sure to pay his respects to Austin, stating that “I can’t thank you enough for what you do for this country.” Before the call ends, he also promises that he and the happy couple will soon meet in person. During these uncertain times, it’s joyous moments like this that can really help us all push through. Even the country music superstar mentioned that “These are the moments I will always remember from this crazy time” in his Tweet regarding the call. Watch the touching video below!
A text caught my eye this weekend – a picture of me & a soldier named Austin together in Afghanistan. 6 years later he’s on deployment in Qatar, & we pulled off a surprise for his wife at home in Little Rock. These are the moments I will always remember from this crazy time. pic.twitter.com/aBXUi0IHmV
