Despite the state’s adult obesity rate staying stable for the last couple years and the state Health Department’s Kristine Igo says…

“Not only does obesity and having obesity contribute to a lot of the chronic disease that we’re already aware of and have been tracking for decades, we’re also seeing that obesity has several notable impacts on the pandemic and its outcomes in individuals.”

Igo is encouraging Minnesotans to get outdoors and exercise, as well as make an effort to eat healthily.
