Eric Church stated that being in quarantine and being secluded during this pandemic has really helped his career. He then noted “I’m not a big people guy. You’re a mile from any road, and that works for my personality. It’s been a lifesaver.”
Church has been spending a lot of his time lately at his cabin in Tennessee. His cabin sits on 1,800 acres of the Tennessee hills with miles of trails for hiking and four wheeling. The property also has two man made lakes stocked with largemouth bass, Church claims the fish should be about 5 pounds when the weather warms up.
Church is currently working on his album Heart & Soul. The Heart portion of the project will portray “heartland rock and roll” similar to Bob Seger, who is noted to be one of Church’s all-time favorites. The Soul portion is inspired by the R&B his mother played for Church while growing up.
While talking about his future and his upcoming album, Church told Garden and Gun, “The world misses it, the communal thing we share. When I play a show, I have no idea what the political leanings are of my audience, but for three hours they can throw their arms around each other and all believe in the same thing.”
