All eyes are on Minnesota again as former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is sentenced in the death of George Floyd. Former U-S Attorney for Minnesota Tom Heffelfinger says it’s a significant day…

“Let’s call it the day of reckoning for Mr. Chauvin now that he’s been convicted, it’s also a day that the broader community, not just the African-American community, but the entire Minnesota community, gets to look at the rule of law being applied to police, who should be enforcing the law and not violating the law.”

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill will decide if Chauvin will get probation or more than 30 years in prison.
