If you’re heading back from the long 4th of July weekend, you’re not alone. Traffic is expected to be heavy throughout the state. MnDOT’s Anne Meyer is urging everyone proceed with caution–especially near work zones…

“We encourage drivers to know before they go, so if they check sites like 511mn.org, they’re going to see what work zones are out there, maybe there’s a traffic impact, a crash along their route before they get behind the wheel so they can make the best decisions for their travel.”

Meyer is asking drivers to slow down and put away the distractions in work zones.
