(Center City, MN) — A Scandia man is accused of providing a deadly dose of meth to an inmate at the Chisago County Jail. John Hofer has been charged with third-degree murder. Prosecutors say the defendant gave drugs to Erik Neilsen who was found dead on July 22 in the jail’s intake area. Hofer was arrested yesterday.
