Minnesota health officials are encouraging eligible Minnesotans who’ve gotten the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine to now get the booster shot. State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm:
“Minnesotans who’ve gotten the Pfizer vaccine can receive the booster shot at least six months after their initial series.”
If you received the Moderna or J&J vaccine hold tight:
“We expect there will be enough data on those vaccines for the FDA and the CDC to make decisions for boosters on Moderna or for Johnson and Johnson within a matter of weeks.”

According to the CDC guidance:
– People 65 or older and residents living in a long-term care facility should receive a booster
– People 50-64 with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster
– People 18-49 with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster
– People 18-64 who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission (frontline medical workers, teachers, and first responders) may also receive a booster
