(Minneapolis, MN) — No one will be charged in connection with the deadly shooting of Winston Smith by U.S. Marshals in Minneapolis. On Monday the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office announced the use of force was justified. Smith was killed on top of an Uptown parking garage back in June after being sought for gun possession. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Smith shot at U.S. Marshals before he was killed.
