— The Country Music Association is announcing the first round of performers for next month’s award show. They include Jimmie Allen, Brothers Osborne, Eric Church and Dan + Shay. Last week, Luke Bryan was announced as the solo host for the 55th annual event. The CMAs take place November 10th in Nashville.

— A proposed television remake, starring Reba McEntire, is a bust. The singer and actress says “Fried Green Tomatoes” was not picked up by network television like they thought it would be. She said it was a great idea, and it had a great script… but, quote, “that’s showbiz.

— Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa returns after a two-year hiatus. The seventh annual oceanside festival will include performances from Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Jimmie Allen, Ashley McBryde, and more. It takes place at the Riviera Cancun, Mexico. Tickets are sold out.

— Country music superstar Carrie Underwood will return to the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She’s set to perform tomorrow, October 23rd. Folks can also watch a live broadcast on the Circle Network.

— Brett Eldredge has another holiday album out today. It’s called “Mr. Christmas,” and it features two, never-before-heard songs. Eldredge released his first holiday album back in 2016 with ‘Glow.’
