(Nashville, TN) — The Country Music Association is announcing another round of performers for next month’s awards show. Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Chris Young, Old Dominion and Kane Brown were added to the musical lineup yesterday. Country music’s biggest night will be held November 10th at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
— Josh Turner is headed out on tour next month in support of his newly-released Christmas album. ‘King Size Manger’ was released on October 8th. On November 18th, Turner will set out on the Holiday & the Hits tour. It kicks off in Holland, Michigan. Tickets are on sale now.
— Carrie Underwood is celebrating the continued success of her debut album. ‘Some Hearts’ was released in 2005, following the singer’s win on Season 4 of “American Idol.” This week, the R-I-A-A certified the album nine-times Platinum. That means it has sold more than nine-million units. The album includes hit songs, “Jesus Take the Wheel,” and “Before He Cheats.”
— Garth Brooks is honoring Charlie Pride with the R-I-A-A Lifetime Achievement Award. He honored the legendary singer posthumously Monday night during a ceremony at the National Museum of African American Music. Pride died last December of complications from COVID-19. He was 86.
— Dierks Bentley is adding more dates to his Beers on Me Tour. He’ll now be on the road through March of next year. Bentley announced the new dates yesterday, shortly after putting the wraps on the first leg of his tour. The second leg kicks off January 6th in Ontario. It includes 21 dates in the U.S. and Canada. Tickets go on sale next Friday.
