— George Strait is wrapping up another successful Vaqueros Del Mar benefit concert and golf tournament. The 11th annual event raised one-point-seven-million dollars for the Feherty’s Troops First Foundation. It’s an organization that supports wounded soldiers and their families. The event took place at Tapatio Springs Resort in Texas’ hill country, which is owned by Strait.

— Chris Janson is announcing his 2022 tour. The “Halfway to Crazy Tour” kicks off February 10th in Dubuque, Iowa. Janson will make 14 stops, including Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. He’ll be joined by Ray Fulcher and Shane Profitt.

— Tim McGraw is sporting a new beard, and his fans aren’t sure what to think about it. The country music megastar-turned on-screen cowboy performed at the Tortuga Music Festival in Florida over the weekend with a full, untamed beard. He reminded fans it was for his role in the upcoming “Yellowstone” spinoff called, “1883.” Concert-goers reached out on Twitter, saying they didn’t even recognize the star. ‘1883’ premieres on Paramount-Plus on December 19th.

Chris Stapleton tells CMT that he always tries to have fun while playing music. “I always feel like if we’re having fun playing music, someone’s going to have fun listening to it or watching it. If you’re thinking about something other than having fun and playing music for people who wanna hear it and also wanna have fun, then you’ve missed the mark.”

Jimmie Allen tells CMT that he designs all of his clothes himself. “I shop cheap. All the suits that I wear, I design them myself. Every hat that you see me wear on award shows, every suit you see me wear, I designed them all.”
