“We oversee local governments because that’s the way we can protect the solutions that neighbors make together and I say right now that the solutions you make with your neighbors are some of the best things to unify a community,  and I’ll tell you we can use all the unity we can get right now.”

Blaha says there’s not as much partisanship in local government as there may be elsewhere because “nobody has the luxury of an endless fight, if you’re in local government, you have to get things done.”
