(Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota is receiving extra hands to help relieve hospitals amid the recent spike in COVID-19 cases. Governor Tim Walz announced Wednesday that two federal emergency teams have been dispatched to the state to help Hennepin County Medical Center and St. Cloud Hospital. In a statement, Governor Walz said the extra help will allow health officials in Minnesota address the current surge in COVID-19 cases. The two teams of 22 medical personnel are set to arrive in the state next week.
