— Blake Shelton is the winner of the 2021 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Country Artist. It’s his seventh time winning the coveted prize. Shelton was among a star-studded performance line-up at the award show Tuesday night in Santa Monica, California. He sang his current single, “Come Back As a Country Boy.”

— Congratulations to Gary Allen, who is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend. The country music hitmaker proposed to Molly Martin this week with a pear-cut diamond ring that he helped design. Allen shared the special moment through a series of photos on Instagram.

— Garth Brooks is making a stop in Orlando next year. He’ll perform at Camping World Stadium on March 26th for his nationwide Stadium Tour. It will mark his first-ever show at the venue. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 17th.

— The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville is highlighting the friendship and career of the superstar duo, Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard. The exhibit, called “Florida Georgia Line: Mix It Up Strong,” debuts on January 21st. Over the course of their decade-long career, the duo earned 18 number-one singles and five-million albums sold. Their exhibit runs through January of 2023.

— Billboard is out with its lists of the top songs, artists and albums of 2021. As far as country music goes, Chris Young and Kane Brown’s hit, “Famous Friends” gained the most airplay this year. The Top Country Artist was Morgan Wallen, and the Top Country Album was his 2021 release, ‘Dangerous: The Double Album.’
