(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota weather is settling down after experiencing a strange combination of events. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watches yesterday as record warmth, high winds, rain, and even snow moved through parts of the state. A tornado was reported last night east of Rochester in Eyota. Crews will be surveying the damage today to confirm the tornado. Freeborn County Emergency Management Director Rich Hall says the small town of Heartland may have been hardest hit after several dozen homes suffered damage and some were without power as lines blew down in high winds.
