— Chris Lane says he has tested positive for the new Omicron variant of COVID-19. The “Fill Them Boots” singer revealed his diagnosis on Friday. He says he’s “praying the rest of the family doesn’t get it.” Both Lane and his wife, Lauren, are vaccinated against the virus. Brett Eldredge also recently announced his battle with COVID-19, which forced him to cancel two, back-to-back Glow Tour dates in Chicago.

— Dolly Parton is recruiting Kelsea Ballerini to help voice the audiobook of her upcoming thriller, “Run, Rose, Run.” Parton will play a beloved country icon Ruthanna Ryder, while Ballerini will read the part of talented young singer AnnieLee. “Run, Rose, Run” will be released on March 7th.

— Laine Hardy will perform during the 2022 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The Louisiana native will sing during the Mid-Parade Performance, presented by the Louisiana Office of Tourism. The Rose Parade is an iconic New Year’s Day tradition that marks the start of the Rose Bowl Game.

— Miranda Lambert is donating thousands of dollars in food, toys and supplies to Tennessee pet shelters. The country music superstar and animal advocate recently visited Tractor Supply in Franklin. The retailer exclusively carries Lambert’s MuttNation pet line. After her shopping spree over the weekend, she stopped by shelters in Williamson County and Metro Nashville to deliver the gifts.

— The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry is celebrating her first Christmas as a married woman. The singer revealed this past weekend that she tied the knot with Johnny Costello six months ago. She posted a picture of herself and Costello in front of a Christmas tree and captioned it, “Wishing everyone a very MARRIED Christmas.”
