— Carrie Underwood will be performing at the iHeart Country Music Festival in Austin, along with stars like Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett. Also in the lineup, Zac Brown Band, Dustin Lynch, Jimmie Allen, Scotty McCreery, Cody Johnson and more. iHeart’s Bobby Bones will host the event from the Moody Center May 7th.
— Fans will have even more opportunities to check out Jimmie Allen as the country music star is tacking on additional dates to his upcoming Down Home Tour 2022. It kicks off February 3rd, with Neon Union already announced as a supporting act. Now, we’re learning that Chayce Beckham and Madeline Merlo will also be joining Allen. — Jason Aldean is being given a humanitarian award by Country Radio Broadcasters. The CRB has named Aldean their 2022 Artist Humanitarian Award recipient. The multi-platinum country star has supported many causes over the years, including the Red Cross, the Susan G. Komen breast cancer organization, and a children’s hospital in his hometown of Macon, Georgia. CRB Board President Kurt Johnson said Jason Aldean doesn’t call attention to his massive philanthropic work, “so we will.” Aldean will accept the honor on February 23rd at Nashville’s Country Radio Seminar.
— Dolly Parton has a new venture. The country music legend is partnering with Duncan Hines on a Southern-inspired line of cake mixes and frostings. The Dolly Parton x Duncan Hines line will hit store shelves in March. But if you can’t stand the wait, special baking kits are available to purchase on the Duncan Hines website starting today. They go for 40 bucks and include mixes, recipes, frosting, a tea towel and spatula, plus a letter from the cultural icon herself.
