Christmas 2020 is providing country fans with a multitude of presents already! Both Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton are releasing full-length Christmas albums for their fans to sing along to during the winter season. Both albums are nearing their release dates with Underwood’s coming out on September 25th, and Parton’s following up just a few days later on October 2nd. The latter of these two albums, however, comes with a little extra something for fans. Dolly’s soon-to-be-released album, A Holly Dolly Christmas, will be accompanied by a Christmas movie on Netflix titled Christmas on the Square!

While A Holly Dolly Christmas will be released in just a few days, fans can already listen to two of the songs Parton decided to cover for the album. Most recently, the “Jolene” singer has released her rendition of the Christmas classic “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus.” Dolly mentioned in an interview that she decided to cover the song because “it’s a song [she] heard growing up” and she “wanted to do something for the kids, and it’s a real cute little song.” (Source: The Boot) Parton also released her cover of “Mary, Did You Know” about a month prior. The album is said to include features from country greats Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Dolly’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus. The combination of these incredible features, her already amazing singles, and the Netflix film to accompany the album, it seems like it really will be A Holly Dolly Christmas this year!
