The COVID-19 pandemic is putting a strain on Minnesota’s health care system. Department of Human Services Commissioner Daniel Pollack says as a result they’ve launched an urgent hiring initiative to fill a pool of staff available to deploy to locations that need emergency staffing assistance:

“As people are testing positive for COVID they are having to quarantine for 14-days and when a large percentage of staff at a particular provider or facility has to leave for even that short period of time the facility can be in a staff crisis situation.”

Pollack says they are offering very competitive wages. He says they may also offer travel, lodging, and per diem reimbursement, depending on the situation. For more information head to the Department of Human Services Website.
