— The American Music Awards is recognizing some of the biggest artists in country music. Luke Bryan is 2021’s Favorite Male Artist, while Gabby Barrett won Favorite Country Album for ‘Goldmine.’ Dan + Shay were announced as early winners for Favorite Country Duo/Group. The 49th AMAs were held last night at Microsoft Theater in L.A.

— Carrie Underwood is a big winner following the 2021 American Music Awards. She took home trophies for Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Inspirational Artist. Earlier this year, Underwood dropped ‘My Savior,’ a 13-track gospel album. The 2021 AMAs were held last night at Microsoft Theater in L.A.

— Walker Hayes is expanding his latest EP. ‘Country Stuff the Album’ drops January 21st. It will feature 13 songs, including collaborations with Jake Owen and Carly Pearce. Hayes will also add a new recording of his most personal song, “Craig.”

— Scott McCreery’s hit song, “Five More Minutes,” is the inspiration for a new Hallmark Christmas movie. It premiered on Hallmark’s Movies & Mysteries channel on Saturday, November 20th. McCreery didn’t appear in the film, but he is listed as an executive producer.

— Maddie & Tae are slated to headline CMT’s Next Women of Country Tour. The 16-date tour kicks off on January 6th in Oklahoma City. Past headliners include Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles and Kelsea Ballerini. Callista Clark and Sacha will open the shows. Tickets are on sale now.
